Improving Employability for Students Who Learn Differently
What are the skills that students need to interview for and land jobs after college? From social skills to executive functioning, learn how these skills affect employability.
Many students entering Beacon College have specific learning differences in reading and writing, but have the conceptual thinking skills to manage the rigor of college concepts. Beacon College’s focus on literacy and writing allows for students to enter with scaffolded support in order to ensure long-term success rates in a liberal arts curriculum.
This presentation by Rosemarie DeJarnett, M.Ed., recorded in November 2020, discusses the student trajectory if they struggle with reading/writing before entry and includes an in-depth exploration of supportive programming offered.
